I enjoyed the article and found it useful. I do, however, disagree about the KodakShare software. The Kodak software is easy to use, but (to me) it is not friendly because it (1) insists that if you don't buy something else from them every year (usually about $20) Kodak will no longer access to the stored photos, and (2) if you email a photo to someone, then Kodak will require them to register with them and also subsequently ask them to buy something annually. Basically, they are requiring to pay an annual user fee and in return they will send something to you.

Another problem:
if your hard drive fails, and needs a replacement, then the replacement hard drive will require another installation and now pay annual fees for each, or you lose the photos! I have dumped the Kodak camera and no longer use the software. I will not held prisoner by Kodak!!!!!!!!!!!!!
