iPod Wireless Earbud - Does It Really Exist?

As much as I tried I just could not find anything such as an iPod wireless earbud…I mean do they actually exist?  I consider myself to be an efficient Internet researcher and I just could not find anything by that name.

I started off using a general search, but all I found was other people asking if the  iPod wireless earbud exists.  Of course I also searched the Apple website but found nothing there either.

I decided to mix things up a bit and searched the term iPod wireless headphones, and while this is not what you are after, what I found was the closest device to the iPod wireless earbud… so here it is.

Logitech Wireless Headphones For iPod

Clearly this is much larger than the earbud so straight away that is the major difference but in terms of its features let’s see what these headphones can do.

Firstly you would need to connect the smart jack to your iPod before you can use the Logitech headphones. The controls are integrated into the headphones so once connected you can control your playlist from the headphone itself.

There are only four options and once you get used to them you’ll remember which buttons are which, and where they are located on the head phones.

By using Bluetooth technology the Logitech wireless headphones can be operated from up to 30 feet away, which is quite a long distance.  This works for me because I am tired of getting my earbud wires caught on the treadmill handle and at times when I don’t have the pockets to store my iPod I can just leave it in my bag at the gym counter and still enjoy my workout tracks.

Considering I would have to attach the smart jack to my iPod to use the Logitech headphones, my bag would be the choice….I could do without carrying around the extra weight.

The Headphones are powered by its own battery so you won’t be using up the iPod battery while it is used, this means you can continue to enjoy the standard hours of play as you would if you were using the iPod earbud.

Despite coming in at approximately $85 -$105, the Logitech headphones seem to be a good buy, especially if you are tired of the wires.  Considering no one is sure if or when Apple would release an iPod wireless earbud, it is more or less one of the best options on the market.
