Everyone who uses a laptop is familiar with the heat problem. Laptops are compact devices packed with components and the longer they run the warmer they get. This can lead to an uncomfortably warm lap. Many people will use a cushion or a tray with their laptop for a cooling layer and extra stability but Logitech have continued their endless march into the world of peripherals with a range of cooling laptop desks. These purpose designed laptop accessories may sound daft but they look well designed and come at attractively low price points.
The Logitech Lapdesk N315 is relatively thin and lightweight. In fact it is 14.4 inches wide, 10.2 inches deep and 0.4 inches thick and it weighs less than 2 pounds. It is designed to fit in most laptop bags. It provides a non-slip surface for the laptop to sit on and the surface is washable for easy cleaning. The Lapdesk N315 is also a perfect heat barrier and will absorb the excess heat from your laptop. The clinching feature is the convenient slide out mouse surface, ideally placed for using a desktop mouse while working on your laptop.
Then there’s the Logitech Comfort Lapdesk which has an extra stable angled design so it can sit comfortably on your lap. It is also designed to absorb heat and looks ideal for use around the home.
Finally there is the Logitech Cooling Pad N100 which sits under your laptop and distributes cool air quietly and efficiently. It has a USB powered fan and the rear intake design and slotted surface apparently make for virtually silent operation and a laptop that never overheats.
They are all reasonably priced and each one is less than $50.
